“The Hamptons”.
A point of view from a local
Who you are and how you behave are greatly influenced by your upbringing. As an artist, I feel obligated to showcase the place where I grew up, with a focus on a particular aspect of my hometown that tourists often overlook. East Hampton, a spectacular part of Long Island, is well-known for becoming a tropical paradise in the summer. Establishments are making an effort to cater to them, and as a result, locals are being forced to leave. This project effectively portrays the hardworking nature of the locals and the atmosphere of daily life in this area. One place I highlighted is Sam's which is one of the longest lasting restaurants out here, and it would be a tragedy for them to go out of business. Which many other places have already experienced. The high rent prices basically pushing the people out that have built this town.
